Gonzaga nursing, state by state
For Gonzaga's nurse practitioner tracks, geography decides a lot: applicants come from a set of ten western states and complete practicums under their own license. Four Northwest states get in-person visits from clinical faculty, while the other six add a day in Spokane. Each guide below covers one state: what Gonzaga's programs mean there, the board's expectations and where a practicum could happen.

Two rules that shape where your practicum happens
Nurse practitioner applicants, including Second MSN students, must live in one of the ten western states Gonzaga lists, with Washington as its home. Practicum sites sit inside the state that licenses you, so the preceptor search begins near home.
The Post-Master's DNP follows a different pattern: its practicum time goes into the DNP project alongside an agency liaison, and its pages set no residency limit. The ten-state rule and licensure disclosures guide explain both in Gonzaga's words.

Which states does Gonzaga accept NP students from?
Ten western states: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona and Wyoming. The list applies to the MSN FNP and PMHNP tracks and the Second MSN, and Gonzaga's catalog ties admission to living in one of them.
What if I live in Washington, Idaho, Oregon or Montana?
A member of Gonzaga's clinical faculty comes to your practicum site once in each practicum course. Everyone else in the ten-state group completes that visit in Spokane on a day added to an immersion. See faculty site visits.
Can I move during the program?
Gonzaga's disclosures page cautions that a move across state lines partway through can change licensure eligibility, and asks students to speak with their program first. Because clinicals follow your license, a move also moves your preceptor search.
